29.1.2014

Today we successfully access to IIS room for product testing. Technical has produced the game in adobe flash because web socket is not recommended for design student to explore with in a short amount of time so we decided change to our learning skill which is Adobe Flash. However, we still do some research about web socket & mobile interaction in case there are some simple tutorial which allow designers to play with before the end of the class. If we unable to search the best tutorial, we proceed to Plan B whereby changing web socket & mobile interaction to Adobe Flash & mouse interaction to interact the game.

Additionally, technical leader has done some research and fully utilized the knowledge of Resolume within the working days so we can immediately proceed to Resolume testing with graphic leader's teamwork cooperation where she managed to finish designing the overall background for the gameplay which is more than enough to put in a test in the Resolume software to experiment projection mapping.

On the other hand, logistic leader had done the set ups based on what he had construct in the floor plan. It's a tough time to try out diagonal angle in a small spatial room however logistic leader still figuring our what are the best solution to overcome this problem. Graphic leader will continue refining the UI design and character animation.

After consultation with lecturers about our new idea again, we requires to refine the character animation and enhance the characteristics of the character by adding correct lighting, and also due to the wide angle of the projector graphic leader needs to enlarge the building and reduce the sky to make the character stands out. We might also need to concern about the mouse sensor distance but Logitech managed to reach about 10 meter long detection so it wouldn't be a problem for user to run around with it. The curation of space is not finalized yet since logistic still experimenting what are tools can support such high length of projector and requires to concern about user safety.
